This policy explains how Poppin Fanfics collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our reading and writing platform.

We collect the username, private recovery email, and password credentials you provide when creating an account. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, not readable passwords. We also store stories, chapters, author’s notes, likes, favorites, comments, replies, reading records, notifications, account settings, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

How information is used

We use information to provide accounts, publish and display content, preserve reading and writing activity, recover accounts, moderate the community, investigate reports, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve Poppin Fanfics. Public profiles are identified by username. Recovery email addresses and account credentials are not displayed publicly.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Essential cookies are used for sign-in, security, and account sessions. We use Google Analytics to understand visits, devices, traffic sources, and how the platform is used. If you select “Essential only,” analytics and advertising storage remain denied, but Google Analytics may receive limited cookieless measurements. Accepting optional cookies enables analytics storage. Analytics is disabled for the platform owner’s signed-in account and is configured without usernames, email addresses, story text, or comment text. Google and future advertising providers may process device, usage, and advertising information under their own privacy terms.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell account information. Information may be shared with infrastructure, email, analytics, moderation, or advertising providers only as needed to operate the platform. We may also disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security, to protect users, or to respond to a valid copyright or legal request.

Retention and account choices

Account and content information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, backups, and legal obligations. You can edit or delete your profile using the account controls. Deleting an account removes its profile and associated content from normal platform use, although limited backup or compliance records may remain temporarily.

Children and safety

Poppin Fanfics is intended for users aged 13 and older. Some stories may contain mature themes and are intended only for readers aged 18 or older. Users below the age of legal majority should use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission and must not access content marked as mature. Do not publish private contact details or sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.
